Khursheed Bano was a prominent actress and singer in Bollywood during the 1930s and 1940s. Born on April 14, 1914, she was a pioneer of Indian cinema. She acted in over thirty films in India and made her debut with the film "Laila Majnu" in 1931. She is best known for her role in the 1943 film "Tansen," where she starred alongside the famous actor-singer K. L. Saigal. This film featured many of her memorable songs and solidified her status as a leading actress of the era. She migrated to Pakistan in 1948 and died in Karachi in 2001.
